... that's what Peter Munk, the charcoal maker, dreams of.
Since his work is hard, he is poor and on top of that also in love. With Lisbeth! But she is the niece of the rich Ezekiel, who is one of the “others” in the Black Forest who never work but are rich as hell. But why?
It is said that they got involved with the Holländer-Michel – the “evil” spirit of the Black Forest, also known as the wooden giant. Or did they get gold from the little glass-imp, who also goes by the name of Schatzhauser and the “good” spirit of the wood? And what price did the “others” have to pay for their wealth?
Peter Munk is looking for the answer. And one day he takes up all his courage, sets off and a great magical adventure starts… right here with us, in the heart of the Harz Caves.
