Fascinating worlds of stalactites and stalagmites
In the middle of the unique natural scenery of the Harz, embedded in the valley of the Bode, in Rübeland they are: the dripstone caves of Rübeland.
The Baumanns Cave and the Hermanns Cave are counted among the oldest and most famous show caves in Germany. As a geological natural monument, they are unique and fascinating of their kind: about 300 steps lead you down into an adventurous underground world with colorful and fanciful stalactites and stalagmites. With a bit of imagination you can meet turtles, dwarfs, dinosaurs and much more. And with a little luck, you will also discover the unique underground fauna with bats, olms and signs and petrified bones of the now extinct Cave Bear.
