There is now an audio guide solution in German and English for use on your own smartphone for viewing the Hermanns Cavewithout a guide. For our guests from all over the world there is also an English audio guide for taking part in a tour of the Baumanns Cave.

How does it work?

During your tour of the cave you will find a sign with a number at all prominent points. A suitable audio track is stored in the audio guide for each number, which you can select individually. You will receive all the information you need to know about our dripstone caves.

Where can I get the audio guide?

In the first step, you purchase a regular ticket for a guided tour through the Baumanns Cave or the walkthrough of the Hermanns Cave (either online HERE or on site at the box office). In the second step, register at our box office on site and purchase the audio guide in the form of a card for €1.00.
On this card there is a QR code (alternatively a direct link) that you can use to download the audio guide to your smartphone. Please note: since there is no internet connection in the cave, the audio guide must be downloaded before the tour begins. For this purpose, our free visitor WLAN is available in the foyer.

How do I listen to the audio tracks?

For reasons of sustainability, we recommend listening to the audio tracks using your own headphones. If you do not have your own headphones or have forgotten them, you can also purchase them from us at the box officefor €1.50 each. Please note that this is a simple 3.5 mm jack connector. If necessary, it is possible to borrow an adapter (compatible with Samsung, IPhone, Huawei, ...) on site. It is not permitted to listen to the audio tracks using the mobile phone's speaker function.
