For a carefree cave experience …

… there are a few things that you should consider in advance when planning your visit with us.

Since the beginning of the corona pandemic, our caves have been open for individual visits without a guided tour, with or without prior booking, as far as opening if permitted. You can find out HERE whether our Baumanns and/or Hermanns Cave is/are currently open.

If our caves are open, please note the following:

Entry will be at the time you pre-booked a ticket. Tickets at the box office will be sold at the next available time, depending on availability (please count in wating times).

The toilet is located outside the cave at the Blankenburger Straße 35/36, directly opposite the Baumanns Cave (costs 0.50 €).

If you have purchased online tickets, please arrive punctually at the time you have booked in order to avoid the crowds of visitors in the entrance area.

In our caves there is a constant temperature between 8 ° and 9 ° C all year. For your visit to us, we recommend solid shoes and warm and comfy clothing.

The guide path includes numerous steps in both caves. Therefore, it is unfortunately not barrier-free and cannot be accessed with a stroller or a wheelchair.

It is not allowed to bring pets into the cave.

You can find more information HERE in the FAQs.

Taking photos and filming with a video camera, mobile phone, etc. is generally not permitted. You can find more information HERE in our FAQ section.

Close to the dripstone caves you will find adequate parking spots for cars, buses and also caravans. More information can be found HERE.

Please also note our house and visitor rules.

We are looking forward to you visit!
