The myth of unsinkability
- T I T A N I C - The cave event
On 14 April 1912 at 11:40 pm, about 500 miles off the coast of New York, the unimaginable happens. The largest passenger liner in the world, a milestone in British engineering and the future Queen of the Seas, rams into an iceberg and sinks into the icy waters of the North Atlantic within a few hours.
It was the abrupt end of a maiden voyage and at the same time the beginning of countless questions:
Why were there too few lifeboats?
Why was the Titanic travelling too fast?
Why were there no binoculars in the lookout?
Why ...? Why ...?
Follow us on an unforgettable journey full of mysteries, secrets and surprises - because the steel giant only appears to be sleeping at a depth of 3,800 metres. But it will awaken and has a lot to tell...
Stay tuned!
